Warrior Racing's journey to Formula West was unlike anything the program had ever experienced. Days before the event two of the team's engines were compromised, and on the first day at the Lincoln Airpark members rallied together to complete an engine swap. We got through tech inspection just fine and only faced one hurdle, the noise test. But afterwards the team took Road Warrior 9, aka Lily, out to the track so everyone could see what she could do. It was nothing but record breaking success from that moment on. We were one of 18 teams that completed every run and every event, and one of the 14 teams that finished endurance. Combining these great dynamic event performances with our stellar static events, such as taking 2nd place in cost, resulted in us ranking 12th overall! And to our delight, we were the highest ranked team from Michigan!
